About Us

Trailblazer Academy is a homeschool co-op in Central Alberta that is bridging the gap between traditional & alternative education. Where your child can have a space to learn & evolve in a way that helps them individually thrive while learning valuable life skills & values.

We are a group of homeschool mom’s & teachers who saw a need in our community for a different way of learning for our children. So what makes us unique? We are not a private school, school board or government funded. We are a privately owned, advanced homeschool co-op that allows your child to be taught with a homeschool mindset & approach while being taught by one of our passionate facilitators, having consistent friends & unique spaces to learn.

We offer a variety of options to homeschooling families. You have options to drop your child off for a learning experience, you can come to local meet ups & attend field trips with your child(ren) and/or you can get additional support with lessons & tutoring from home.

At our 6 week drop off programs our students are taught a curriculum created by our Director’s which is reported back to the parents at the end of the 6 weeks so they can stay involved & know exactly what & how their child is learning in each subject. Which can then be reported back to their homeschool board of choice.

Lindsay is one of our founders and she helps families get started and set up on their homeschooling journey. If your child needs to be signed up with a homeschool board then Lindsay can help you with that process if needed.

At Trailblazer Academy we focus on:

  • learning through play & experience

  • creating a local homeschool community

  • low student to facilitator ratios

  • encouraging individual skills

  • respecting the way in which each child learns

  • unique outdoor experiences (gardening, taking care of animals, etc)

  • learning with different age groups

  • monthly focused curriculums

  • parent involvement & communication
